Congratulations to Honeoye CSD teachers Alyssa Boyea and Clarissa Hensler, both of whom were named winners of the Grant-in-Aid Award from the Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.

The Alpha Tau Chapter is an organization of female educators representing nine school districts across Ontario and Yates counties. Delta Kappa Gamma promotes the professional and personal growth of its members while fostering excellence in education.

Each year, the Alpha Tau Chapter sponsors a rotating Grant-in-Aid program that provides monetary awards to teachers pursuing advanced education and innovative programming opportunities for their students and Boyea and Hensler are this year's recipients. Their dedication, passion and commitment to education truly reflect the mission and values of Delta Kappa Gamma.

HCS has several retirees who have been associated with the organization over the years, including Marsha Johnson, Nancy Wright, Sally Blackmer, Mary Lou Charland, Jane Alden, Kelley Palmer-Sachitella and Elin Orman.

We congratulate Alyssa and Clarissa on this well-deserved honor and enjoyed celebrating them at the Grant-in-Aid Dinner on June 3.
