Fall Accomplishements

  • Varsity Girls Basketball
    • Our Varsity Girls participated in the 4th Annual Belmont Rotary Tip-Off Tournament in Belmont on Friday, 12/5 & Saturday 12/6.  After a tough loss during the first game/night, the team bounced back today with a 44–33 win.
    • Coach Tompkins highlighted:
      • Brooke C. as the top scorer and an All-Tournament Team selection
      • Chloe B. for relentless defense and several key baskets
      • Maren T. for leading the offense with strong passes and smart ball movement
      • The team’s resilience, energy, and teamwork this weekend are promising signs that this is the start of an exciting season ahead!

 

  • Varsity Boys Basketball
    • Our Varsity Boys picked up a big win on 12/6, defeating York 68–53 at the Way-Co Hall of Fame Showcase
      • Congratulations to Landon W., who was named Player of the Game for his outstanding performance!
    • On 12/19, the Basketball Record Board was unveiled and dedicated to Freddy Wasburn, the program’s statistician for decades.
    • On 12/22 & 12/23, the Boys JV and Varsity Basketball teams competed in the Tink McVean Basketball Tournament, hosted by Keshequa, and neither team disappointed!
      • On 12/22, both teams earned wins, advancing to the championship games on Tuesday night, with both tipping off at 7:15 PM.
      • The JV Boys finished as Tournament Runner-Up, falling to Keshequa in a hard-fought championship game, 49–44. An outstanding effort all around.
      • The Varsity Boys continued their strong play and brought home FIRST PLACE with another big win!
      • Landon W. was named Tournament MVP, scoring an incredible 46 points on Monday night and following it up with 49 points in the championship game.
      • Brayden S., Dylan W., and Landon W. were also named to the All-Tournament Team.

 

  • Indoor Track & Field
    • On 12/19, our Bloomfield-Honeoye Indoor Track & Field team had a RECORD-BREAKING night as well!
      • From Coach Moran:
        • From Honeoye-
          • Danny G. shattered the long-standing Boys Pole Vault program record, clearing 11’, and followed it up with a 51’ throw in the Weight Throw!
            • #1 in Class B3 – Pole Vault
            • #1 in the WFL – Weight Throw
            • #2 in Class B3 – Weight Throw
        • From Bloomfield-
          • EJ D. broke the Girls Triple Jump school record with a huge jump of 34’2”, currently ranking #1 in Class B3!
