Honeoye Central School’s secondary campus was full of energy and excitement during the HCS Paper–Rock–Scissors Challenge held on April 22–23.
Over two action-packed days, our hallways transformed into friendly arenas where students and staff battled it out using strategy, luck and a little courage. The challenge began Wednesday morning with each student receiving three starting beads from their first-period teacher.
From there, the competition took off!
Students challenged classmates to build their bead collections, and once they earned five beads, they leveled up — taking on staff members for even bigger stakes. A win against a teacher meant claiming all their beads!
With every “Rock, Paper, Scissors… SHOOT!” came cheers, laughter, and a growing sense of school spirit. By Thursday morning, competitors were working hard to reach the ultimate goal: 25 beads and a spot in the Final Competition.
The excitement peaked at Thursday’s final showdown, where top competitors faced off in an intense and spirited championship round.
Congratulations to our three champions representing the high school, BOCES Seniors, and middle school!
