The third annual Day of Caring on Friday, October 3, was a grand success on all accounts for Honeoye Central School District and the surrounding community.
Ideal weather helped our older students who were working outside, which included stops at area churches, parks and the Richmond Fire Department. WHAM-TV from Rochester even paid a visit to interview students! Closer to home, the Elementary School students enjoyed doing work on school grounds and some even welcomed family members for some arts and crafts.
Middle schoolers and high schoolers capped the day with an energetic pep rally that saw school spirit soar and sent our Bulldog athletic teams into the weekend with plenty of momentum.
“We're so proud of our students for the heart and enthusiasm they bring to this day each year," said Honeoye Superintendent Natalie Pfluke. "The Day of Caring truly reflects what makes our school community so special: students, staff, families, and community members coming together to give back and make a difference."
Thank you to everyone who made our Day of Caring another huge win for not only the Honeoye students, but everyone in the community as well! We're so proud of all our students, who are eager to give back and help make Honeoye the great place that it is!
