Dear HCS Families and Community Members,

We've heard your thoughts and suggestions about a community build, and we couldn’t be more excited to present this opportunity. We’re currently exploring creating a custom, all-inclusive playground and we want to hear from you.  On Wednesday, August 20th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, we’re hosting an informational meeting to share what this project could look like and to gauge community interest in bringing it to life.  A key part of this vision is that a portion of the playground would be built by community volunteers- similar to the way our current playground was built in the 90's.

The design would be guided by Play by Design, a group of Certified Playground Safety Inspectors known for creating safe, creative, and inclusive play spaces built with the help of community members.

At the meeting, we’ll discuss:

• The concept and goals for the project

• What makes a community-built playground special

• The level of volunteer support and leadership needed to move forward

• How to get involved if the project moves ahead
