Honeoye Odyssey of the Mind Team Advances to State Competition

Honeoye students have shown plenty of ability in areas of creativity, innovation and teamwork. 

That’s why it’s no surprise to see a group of Bulldogs earn second place at a regional Odyssey of the Mind competition that qualified Honeoye for the state competition on April 5. 

In March, Honeoye’s Odyssey of the Mind team competed at the regional competition at Fairport High School. The event included more than 400 students from the region, where teams focus on one of five long-term problems with no help from teachers or adults. 

The Honeoye students finished second, which means the team advanced to the April 5 state event at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Honeoye finished in 10th place out of 18 teams at the Syracuse event.
