Upcoming Town Hall Meetings, BOE Visits and Additional Round of COVID Rapid Tests Available, ONE PER FAMILY Good Morning Honeoye!I hope everyone has had a healthy, productive week! I am reaching out this morning to provide our community with information about upcoming Town Hall meetings, additional COVID test kit availability, and scheduled Board of Education visits to the POUND.Save the Date! Town Halls Scheduled for Thursday, 11/18/2021 Given the impact of COVID-19 on our organization and the community we serve, we launched quarterly Town Hall Meetings last year as a means by which to engage in two way dialogue with our community. Given the positive response we received from our families and the inherent benefit(s) of obtaining community feedback, this is a practice that the district has opted and committed to continuance in 2021-22. As such, our leadership team will be available to provide updates from respective areas and to respond to questions from families and students during voluntary, virtual Town Hall Meetings scheduled for Thursday, January 27. The virtual Elementary Town Hall is scheduled on 1/27 from 6:00 - 7:00. Board of Education Visit Dates: February 9 ~ 9:15 - 11:45 - Elementary Level with "Pop in" visits to classrooms March 9 ~ 8:15 - 10:45 - Secondary Level with "Pop in" visits to classrooms Additional COVID Rapid Tests Available for Distribution by FAMILY NYSDOH has procured and provided an additional shipment of rapid COVID test kits for school districts across the state. If you are interested in obtaining a COVID Rapid Test Kit (ONE PER FAMILY), please note the following: Test kits have been provided for distribution of one kit per family in grades PreK-12. Each test kit contains two rapid tests. Test kits are available for distribution via pick up or delivery: One test kit per family may be picked up from Tammy Smith at the District Office entry on Monday, 1/24, or Tuesday, 1/25, between 7:30 - 3:00, or One test kit per family may be delivered via student back pack upon receipt of attached consent document (see ParentSquare). Note: As applicable, rapid COVID test kits will be delivered to classrooms on Monday, 1/24, and Tuesday, 1/25 for distribution to students at dismissal. Test kits for secondary students will be delivered to their EIGHTH PERIOD classrooms. To be clear, there is no requirement to test. This initiative is intended to assist parents with access to reliable and quick testing options as part of the solution in keeping schools open.
