Covid Related Updates ~ Update on Masking Stay, COVID Rapid Tests Available Good Morning Honeoye! Many thanks to all of the families who participated in our Elementary and Secondary Town Hall meetings on 1/27. We appreciate the opportunity to share and highlight all of the incredible work happening to support teaching and learning at HCS, as well as to engage in two way dialogue about the topics on your mind. For those of you unable to attend the Town Hall meetings and interested in what information was related, notes will be shared with you soon.I am reaching out this afternoon to provide you updates on the current masking stay order and the availability of additional COVID rapid test kits.Masking Stay Order I wanted to let you know that it is not expected that the Appellate Division will issue any additional opinions today on the masking stay order. The State has indicated that there will be no oral arguments today and that today is the deadline for submission of the parties’ papers. We may anticipate that the Appellate Division will not issue an opinion for at least a couple of weeks. As of now, the stay is imposed, and masks are mandated at least until the Appellate Division rules on the appeal of the Nassau County decision. We will provide you with updates as they become available. Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding in this matter. Additional COVID Rapid Tests Available for Distribution NYSDOH has procured and provided an additional shipment of rapid COVID test kits for school districts across the state. If you are interested in obtaining a COVID Rapid Test Kit (ONE PER FAMILY or STAFF MEMBER), please note the following: Test kits have been provided for distribution of one kit per family (or staff member) in grades PreK-12. Each test kit contains two rapid tests. Test kits are available for distribution via pick up or delivery: One test kit per family may be picked up from Tammy Smith at the District Office entry on Monday, 1/31, or Tuesday, 2/1, between 7:30 - 3:00, or One test kit per family may be delivered via student back pack upon receipt of consent document (see ParentSquare).
