COVID Rapid Tests for Students Still Available Good Morning Honeoye! REMINDER: COVID Rapid Tests for Distribution in School Districts As I shared with our community earlier this week, NYSDOH procured and provided rapid COVID test kits for school districts across the state. HCS received their allocation late Monday afternoon and we launched distribution to families on Tuesday. Many thanks to all of the families who picked up COVID Rapid Test Kits at the district yesterday, and to the many families who have submitted their consent documents for test kits to be delivered via student backpack. Note: Rapid COVID test kits are being delivered to classrooms TODAY for distribution to students at dismissal. Test kits for secondary students will be delivered to their EIGHTH PERIOD classrooms. It is NOT too late! If you have not already done so, and you are interested in obtaining a COVID Rapid Test Kit for your child(ren), please note the following: Test kits have been provided for distribution of one kit per student in grades K-12. We are exploring options with OCDOH for our PreK students at this time. Each test kit contains two rapid tests. Test kits are still available for distribution via student back pack upon receipt of attached consent document (see attached). To be clear, there is no requirement to test. This initiative is intended to assist parents and educational staff members with access to reliable and quick testing options as part of the solution in keeping schools open. Thank you in advance for your support of our efforts to continue to offer 100% in person learning: Any child or adult who has been exposed to COVID illness or is feeling ill should please stay home. Universal masking is required. "Above the nose is how it goes." Physical distancing must be practiced. Hand washing is an important mitigation strategy to help stop the spread of germs and viruses. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions about this information or otherwise. Thank you for your continued support of the district and our work in advocacy for HCS students. Be safe and be well!Sincerely,E.
