Honeoye Central School District Appoints Elementary Principal

The Honeoye Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Pfluke as the next Elementary School Principal. Mrs. Pfluke has been serving as Assistant Principal at Buckman Heights Elementary School in the Greece Central School District for the last three years.  During a Regular Meeting of the Board on December 9, the HCS Board of Education appointed her to a probationary position, effective January 11, 2021. 

Bridget Ashton, School Superintendent, commented “I could not be more pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Natalie Pfluke as the next Elementary Principal at HCS.  Mrs. Pfluke has demonstrated herself to be a reflective lead learner, a champion for students, learning and teaching, and a genuine source of positivity and growth mindset in her approach to building and nurturing relationships with all stakeholders.” Ashton shared that stakeholders “took the time to identify the qualities that matter most to our school community,” and said, “It is my firm belief that Mrs. Pfluke possesses each of the attributes identified in our leadership profile. I am also confident that she will serve as a humble,  extremely capable and competent TRUE BLUE leader for the district.”  

Mrs. Pfluke has worked in public education since 2003, serving in roles as classroom teacher, Central Registrar, and Coordinator of Programming for the Rochester City School District, and most recently, as Assistant Principal for the Greece Central School District. Mrs. Pfluke earned a Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University, a Master of Science in Mathematics from SUNY Brockport, and a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education. Her certifications include Elementary Education PreK - 6, Mathematics, Building Level and District Level Leadership.  

When asked about becoming the next HCS Elementary Principal, Pfluke commented, “I am honored to have been selected to serve as Elementary Principal in such an amazing community. I look forward to building relationships with students, families, and community members, and to continuing Honeoye's tradition of unity and heartfelt pride. I am so grateful for this opportunity!”
