Meals Available for HCS Students During Closing In an effort to support HCS district student nutritional needs during the current extended school closing, the HCS Food Service staff will be preparing “Grab-&-Go” breakfast and lunch meals for HCS students whose families are interested in receiving them. A reminder that meals are available to all school-age children residing within The Honeoye Central School District school. This effort includes resident-students who may attend private schools, out-of-district placements or are home schooled. Please don’t hesitate to share information regarding this service with other district families! We are observing an “open enrollment” process so parents can register their children at any time by clicking on this link: https://forms.gle/za3Yk9tpXQURcr7x8. Once this three question GoogleForm is completed, recipients can come to school between 10:00 - 12:00 on the next scheduled service day (M/W/F) to receive their meals. Specific questions or concerns can be addressed to School Business Administrator Michael Bastian at [email protected]. Additionally, in consideration of Governor Cuomo’s extension of the state-wide school closure, we will be providing continuity of meal service through what would have been the April Recess week. Please note that we will adhere to the schedule below for meal service the next two weeks. Finally, if an order by the governor extends our school closure beyond Tuesday, April 14th, we will continue meal service on a M/W/F basis with meals available on Wednesday, April 15th and Friday, April 17th. Meal Schedule Moving Forward (10:00 - 12:00 pick up at HCS School Cafe back door - Rte. 20A side) Friday, April 3rd Monday, April 6th (2 days of meals) Wednesday, April 8th (3 days of meals) Monday, April 13th (2 days of meals) Wednesday, April 15th and beyond = M/W/F pattern to continue if closing is extended Families seeking additional nutritional support during the upcoming weeks may access the following resources: Meals on Wheels available through Honeoye Food Pantry, [email protected] Honeoye Food Pantry (United Church of Christ): https://sites.google.com/site/honeoyefoodpantry/ or [email protected] Foodlink (Rochester) Mobile Pantry weblink: https://foodlinkny.org/fight_hunger/mobile-pantries/#tab-1 2-1-1 (phone number for referral/requests for social services) Get the NCS News app and get instant updates!
