Libraries are the heart of a learning community, serving students, faculty, and administration. Honeoye Elementary Library holds approximately 15,500 materials - including books, videos, and magazines and is fully automated with Mandarin software and an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). Also available are seven internet accessible Macs, projection units, and an iPad cart. In this library, students and classes are able to work independently, in small groups, or whole groups simultaneously.
Although classes are scheduled for a once a week lesson, students are encouraged to visit the library on their
own time! If your child forgets their library
book for class, they are not limited to that time to return or renew
books. The library is open for their use any other time during the

are responsible for all books that they borrow. During the first few
weeks of school, we discuss what it means to take care of library
materials. One of the ways to do so is returning books on time so that
others in our library community can enjoy them. With that in mind, if a
book is lost or returned significantly damaged the student will need to
pay for the book. The student will NOT be allowed to take out or
borrow additional books until payment for the lost or damaged book has
the end of the school year approaches, there are a couple of important
dates to mark down on the calendar regarding the return of library
May 27th: Last day to exchange or borrow books from the Library
June 3rd: Last day to return ALL books to the Library
help us by encouraging your children to find their library books and
return them by or before the dates above. Returning library books in a
timely manner is important as it ensures all books are accounted for by
the end of the school year.
Thank you for your help with this matter as well as your continued support of the Elementary Library!
When our Kindergarteners are ready to check out books, this letter
